Q & A
Qn:
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What is the one thing that you are really passionate about?
|
We are an enthusiastic group of people with great interest in the issues of environmental protection. We all share the thought of finding ways to contribute to the saving of the environment and protecting it.
Truly, when we walk on the street and see people littering and dumping sewage every single day, it really urges us to make something to improve the situation.

Qn:
Can you let us know (as simply and as specific as possible), how people might find this project to be useful?
|
The solar cooker made of carton uses available materials such as: (1) Cartons. (2) Thermal insulation. Since not having electricity, it is safe and easy to use.
|
Qn:
What was your motivation and inspiration behind this project?
|
People use fossil fuels as main energy source for daily cooking. In rural areas, people still use coal, which is a kind of finite fossil energy, discharge greenhouse gases such as CO, CO2, NO, SO2 when using. It also affects health and causes respiratory diseases, eyes disease, etc. The Solar cooker is one of the products towards a future without using fossil fuel, reduce greenhouse gas emission and does not affect human health. It also solves the problem of wasting that is recycle old unused cartons.
|
Qn:
Can you briefly describe what your project does and what you find most fascinating about it?
|
Sunlight carrying radiant heat passing through glass panels in the cooker will be scattered throughout the space of the kitchen by the silver coated mirrors placed around the cooker. The mirrors and The glasses are heat keepers
Since the cooker only uses radiant heat of the sunlight for operation, it absolutely does not waste electricity energy or other energy forms that cause environmental pollution.
|
Qn:
Lastly, please share with us the hopes and dreams you have for this project you have created.

The stove is also used to dry seafood, agricultural products and especially black garlic.
It still takes a long time to use, so our group are trying to redesign the stove by using another thermal insulation in order to keep much more heat, focus the light onto a point to cook faster and be able to fry as well. Also, we are coming up with an idea of applying the principle of the greenhouse effect in incubation and we hope to get it done soon.
If donors invest this project so that we can accomplish it, it will be a very useful product, cost saving and environmentally friendly.
