Q & A
Qn:
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What is the one thing that you are really passionate about?
My name is Ly Anh Minh. I created this measuring machine when I was 21. I really want to study more about Microcontrollers and other relevant platforms.
Qn:
Can you let us know (as simply and as specific as possible), how people might find this project to be useful?
This is a measuring machine used to measure the thickness of objects that are absolutely flat and hard. It used the best for experiments in laboratories.
Qn:
What was your motivation and inspiration behind this project?
My motivation and inspiration behind this project is that I tried to figure out how I could use ultrasonic sensors more usefully. And I thought using an ultrasonic sensor as a non-contact measuring device was not a bad idea.
Qn:
Can you briefly describe what your project does and what you find most fascinating about it?
My machine has two modes. The first mode is to measure the thickness of an object continuously. The second mode is to get the thickness values of an object several times and then it will calculate the mean of all values that it obtained. What I find most fascinating about it is use ultrasonic to measure the thickness of an object. I think it is a little bit weird.
Qn:
Lastly, please share with us the hopes and dreams you have for this project you have created.
In spite of not being a bad idea when using an ultrasonic sensor as a non-contact measuring device, I sometimes found it unstable when measuring. I hope to overcome this disadvantage.
