Overview

The Raspberry Pi Sense HAT is a multi-sensor device with an in-built LED matrix that can be attached on top of the Raspberry Pi via the 40 GPIO pins to create an "Astro Pi". The Sense HATs integrated circuit based sensors can be used for many different types of experiments, applications, and even games. Its currently being used in conjunction with the Raspberry Pi Foundation to perform science experiments aboard the International Space Station (ISS)!

The sensors provides the ability to read measurements about the surroundings including orientation, pressure, humidity and temperature.

Writing programs to create Sense HAT applications is also made simple with the availability of the Python library that allow users to get started quickly and easily.
